AECOM

Overcoming the tough, interrelated challenges our clients face requires a company that can provide the broadest perspective and a full range of support. A company like AECOM, 85,000+ people strong in over 150 countries, whose integrated capabilities provides an edge in delivering what others can only imagine. In Australia, we leverage our team of advisors, engineers, designers and planners to work together to positively impact lives, transform communities and make the world a better place. From 20 offices in major capital cities and regional centres, we work together to design, build, finance and operate infrastructure assets across the country. In the Hunter we have over 100 staff across offices in Warabrook and Singleton, dedicated to assisting local clients address complex infrastructure challenges. Our core values of safety and sustainability are embedded into all of our projects for the benefit of our clients.

We are deeply committed to embracing the diversity of every employee through an inclusive and accountable culture. Collectively AECOM is putting gender diversity and inclusion at the forefront of who we are and how we operate as an organisation.  To effect change, we have taken a bold, innovative and tangible approach, played out through the implementation of a Gender Diversity Strategy committing AECOM to actions that set new benchmarks for our industry. We are proud of our efforts across a number of programs including reporting gender pay gap analysis, unconscious bias awareness training for managers, mentoring circles for female staff and a new all roles flex commitment.  Our efforts were recognised in 2016 with the presentation of the Most Outstanding Company in Gender Diversity Award by Engineers Australia.

We are proud to support Divas on the Green – connecting local Hunter women and supporting the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation – two wonderful charities at the heart of our Hunter community.
